In this season of MORE...more eating/drinking,
buying/returning and general indulging, I am
finding that what many people want is LESS.
Less stress, less
stuff to deal with, less junk mail (hope this doesn't
qualify), less places to be and things to do. So how
can we experience the Gift of LESS?

 |
|
Luxury is defined as having "opulence, splendor,
extravagance, indulgence." I would not think of any of
these definitions in relation to "Less"
~ a word often associated with lack. So what is the
Luxury of Less?
For me the Luxury of Less is having enough time to
read an article that catches my interest, to call a friend
who crosses my mind and to have a clear desk at the
end of the day. Not saying 'yes' to everything that
comes my way is indulging in the Luxury of
Less.
A quote I love is by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. She
said, "One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the
beach; one can collect only a few, and they are more
beautiful if they are few".
Space around
the 'things' in our lives, that is the Luxury of Less.
The New
Year is the perfect time to 'weed' the garden of our
lives. I think the most important place to create
space is
in our own hearts and minds.
For me, the Luxury of Less is actually an affirmation of
abundance ~ knowing that there will always be More.

The gift of LESS, can offer rest to the heart and
mind.
One way to facilitate this, is with a Feng Shui / Space

someone else. Starting the
New Year with clarity, beauty and an environment that
truly supports your purposes, is the gift that pays
dividends all year long.

the year. This is an important time to place new
adjustments in your environment ~ to enhance good
prospects or to protect against those that are less
auspicious. Clients who have worked with me

Welcome to the Sixth Issue of Sacred Currents'
Newsletter.
Coincidentally, the number SIX on the Feng Shui
Bagau
or
template, is associated with the Heaven Principle, the
metal element and most yang time of year.
It
is this
time of late fall, early winter when nature contracts and
withdraws into the earth. The shortest days of the
year and the greatest period of darkness are upon us.
Hence it is the time of the year
that we enjoy the beautiful displays of light that the
holidays bring. It may also be the time when we look at
where we
want to head in the coming year. This number SIX gua
or "Chyan" in
Chinese, relates to the head on the body, travel and
to 'benefactors' or
helpful
people in our lives. As it follows, it is also a time to
remember those who are dear to us and thank them
for being in our lives.
As you enjoy the season...and some
indulgences ; - } ...read on and see if there is
somewhere you can do LESS, leaving space for
what you truly want in your life this coming
year.
I wish you, your families and our
world, Peace & Blessings of every kind.
